TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE LEASE OF ABIMBOLA CENTER
1. Lease agreement form must be filled for all reservations. Clients must provide all necessary information pertaining to the event.
2. To secure reservation, clients must make a minimum deposit of 50% of the hall fee inclusive of vat.
3. A caution fee (100% REFUNDABLE) of one hundred thousand Naira (100,000) shall be paid by the hirer.
4. Payment should be made in certified bank cheque or online transfer. Clients should note that cash payments are not allowed & at your own risk.
5. Full payment must be made latest three weeks to the event/occasion.
6. Payments made by transfer must be confirmed latest four working days to the event.
7. Abimbola Center will retain 20% of the deposit made for any cancellation of event above 3month, any cancellation between 1month-3month will attract 50%, while less than 1month cancellation attract total forfeiture of any deposit made.
8. Postponement is not allowed more than once! A second request for postponement will attracts 10% of the cost of the hall, subsequent postponement will attract a penalty of #100,000 (fifty thousand naira only). The new date(s) however depends on date availability. Where such events are subsequently cancelled, penalties applicable to such cancellation will be applied from above (check no 6 on the list). Deposit less than 50% will not be refunded if any cancellation occurs.
9. Claims for refund shall be made in writing and shall be accompanied by the original copy of receipt of payment forwarded to the Manager, Abimbola Center.
10. No smoking of cigarette, hemp, marijuana and the likes in any form or guise within the premises of Abimbola Center.
11. Leasing hours shall be between 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm. Any client(s) that exceed this time will be made to pay additional fee of #70,000 per hour.
12. Technical details relating to the event must be discussed and agreed upon by the technical personnel before the event to ensure a smooth and successful event.
13. Musician and other sound suppliers are expected to pay a specified amount for using ABC power or come with personal Generator (ABIMBOLA Hall A 30,000 Naira and Hall B 20,000)
14. A caution fee (refundable) of #10,000 shall be paid by Decorators and Musician, and #5000 by other vendors before setting up which is to be refunded where there is no flouting of our rules and regulations or damage to our properties. In the event of working overnight, the decorator will be mandated to pay a sum of #50,000 for working overnight with his or her own source of power or a specified amount for using power supply from ABIMBOLA CENTER.
15. Caterers will pay a fee of #10,000 for making swallow on spot. {#5000 refundable & #5000 Nonrefundable}
16. ABIMBOLA CENTER does not offer storage facilities. Promoters must therefore ensure that all equipment is removed from the premises immediately after their event. Failure to do so will attract a surcharge of #20,000, with upward increase of 50% for subsequent day (s).
17. Clients and event manager are to note that there will be no pasting of banners, flags, posters etc on any part of the walls or glass of the hall.
18. Decorators are not allowed to nail on the wall or hang anything to the chandeliers.
19. The management of ABIMBOLA CENTRE has exclusive right to restrict further entrance into the hall in the event of full capacity.
20. The allocated number of chairs and Table will be available in the Hall. In case the clients decided to use less than allocated chairs and table the balance will be kept at the back of the Hall. Moving chairs and Table outside the Hall is not acceptable. Additional chairs apart from the allocated number attract a specified fee.
21. Promoters and hirers are required to maintain the highest possible standard of cleanliness, caterers are required to maintain maximum cleanliness and use equipment with caution.
22. It is pertinent that a pre-event briefing with all services providers is scheduled and all service providers must attend. It is compulsory.
23. Serving of food, registration or exhibition is not allowed at the main entrance, car park and inside the hall.
24. Except in situation where exclusive use of the hall is desired and paid for, ABIMBOLA CENTER have the right to take another booking for other free halls and Available rooms.
25. For religious programs, ABIMBOLA CENTER does not accommodate any form appeasement within the premises of the hall and compound (sprinkling of water, killing of animals, sacrifices, sprinkling of ash or other materials) as explained by the management of Abimbola Center.
26. For burials, wake-keeps, service of songs, lying in state, the management of Abimbola Center reserves the right to disallow the remains of the deceased within the premises of the hall and compound.
27. The hirer shall indemnify and keep indemnified ABIMBOLA CENTER against all losses, expenses, liabilities, claims and damages incurred as a result of or arising out of the hiring of the premises whether caused by any act or omission of the hirer, its servants, agents, or invitees.
28. The hirer shall comply with the provisions of Nigeria Constitution, statutes laws, all acts, local government laws and ABIMBOLA CENTER regulations, and shall indemnify and keep indemnify ABIMBOLA CENTER against all losses, expenses, liabilities, claims and damages incurred as a result of the hirer’s breach of any such Act, By-laws, Statutes or Regulations
29. The hirer shall indemnify and keep indemnified ABIMBOLA CENTER against all losses, expenses, liabilities, claims and damages incurred by ABIMBOLA CENTER for infringement of copyright arising from hirer’s use of the premises.
30. The hirer shall be responsible for the maintenance of good order in and around the premises during the period for which the premises are hired.
31. The hirer shall comply with any instruction by any officer of ABIMBOLA CENTER to the maintenance of good order and compliance with these conditions in and around the premises.
32. The Management of ABIMBOLA CENTER may require the hirer/client at any time to supply a detailed written description of all activities to be conducted on the premises during the time of hirer.
33. ABC reserves the right to remove, or have any persons remove from the facility if it is felt that any part(s) of this agreement were broken or that the facility is not been used for the purpose for which this agreement is intended, or that the above listed conditions of rental are not being met.
34. The terms and conditions must be signed by the individual applicant/hirer or where applicable, the company secretary or other authorized executive of the hirer.
